CAIR-AZ: Arizona Muslims to Hold Friday Press Conference, Rally Kashmir Humanitarian Crisis

(PHOENIX, AZ  9/25/19) – On Friday, Sept. 27, a coalition of Arizona Muslims will hold a press conference and rally to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Indian-Occupied Kashmir. The conference also coincides with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming address to the United Nations General Assembly.

Attendees of the press conference and rally will call on elected officials to stand against India’s occupation of Kashmir, demand the immediate restoration of mobile and landlines in the region and call for an end to the curfew and for the complete demilitarization of the region.  

Many community members, whose families are impacted by the occupation have been visiting with elected officials – calling on them to speak up on this burgeoning humanitarian crisis.
