Job Opportunity: Civil Rights Coordinator (full-time) 

The Arizona chapter of CAIR is looking for a passionate and talented individual to fill a full-time Civil Rights Coordinator position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position entails coordinating CAIR-AZ’s civil rights work in the state of Arizona. Tasks include community relations, media work, marketing, minor civil rights work, general administrative duties, and project management.  The Civil Rights Coordinator will be responsible for:

Documenting, investigating, and assisting in resolving cases of discrimination;
Performing case intake and database management;
Generating statistics and counts of cases;
Answering community calls regarding CAIR-AZ issues;
Marketing and promoting CAIR-AZ by attending events on behalf of CAIR-AZ;
Training and supervision of volunteers and upcoming intern initiative;
Administrative office duties by paying bills and maintaining office resources;
Providing additional support to CAIR-AZ board of directors as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree or a college student in the process of earning a Bachelors degree
Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to meet strict deadlines;
Highly motivated, self-initiating and energetic.
Experience working with clients, customers, etc
Ability to present to diverse audiences on topics relevant to civil rights
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to analyze data and deliver reporting based on job requirements
